Radical Embodiment is a self-paced course for changing how you respond - through movement, mindfulness, and play. You may already understand yourself well—your patterns, your history, your values—yet still feel caught in the same reactions. Maybe you notice: - Tension, collapse, or agitation that shows up before you can think - Reactivity or shutdown in moments of stress, conflict, or care - A sense of disconnection from your body, creativity, or agency - Fatigue with practices that ask you to “calm down” without addressing the world you’re responding to These experiences aren’t signs that you’re doing something wrong. They’re embodied adaptations—patterns learned over time in response to lived conditions. Lasting change requires working with those patterns in the body, not just understanding them.

Radical Embodiment : Self Paced Course
The Radical Embodiment self paced course is an experiential journey in movement, mindfulness, and play designed to reconnect you with your body’s wisdom and deepen your connection with yourself and others - even in moments of stress, uncertainty, and change.. Drawing from disciplines like somatics, Theater of the Oppressed, qi gong, embodied anatomy, therapeutic dance, and relational healing practices, this program blends contemplative traditions and science backed methods into an accessible approach to embodied learning. In each module, you'll practice techniques that awaken the body — from guided meditations and mindful movement, to improvisation and playful “de-mechanization” games. These practices invite you to step into your body and out of your mind, to notice how the world has shaped you, and to imagine new ways of moving through life with dignity, safety, and connection. This is not just a course you take - it’s an experience you live through your body, and can come back to again and again - moving toward wisdom and connection.

Your facilitator : Amal Rogers
Amal Rogers facilitates healing that encourages people toward greater connection with self and other. She has been writing, teaching, and working on the concepts of Radical Embodiment for more than a decade. Her work is directed toward both personal and community transformation. Amal has a background in dance and has been facilitating movement practices for more than 20 years. Amal is influenced by her Somali and Irish-American heritages, people’s liberation movements, herself, her mother, the other, what she thinks the other thinks, pop culture, queerness, the labor of parenting, and the communities in which she lives. She has received some degrees, some awards, and some artistic residencies. Amal has been certified to practice in many disciplines and is committed to ongoing study. She has taught students of all ages in formal and informal spaces, from preschoolers, to college students, to elders. She has shared performance in physical spaces around the world and on the internet. Amal is also a parent of two and a sister of one. She is based between Miami, FL and Tangier, Morocco.
